  • Assistant - Welfare
    Location: MWS Girls' Residence

    Key Responsibilities

    • Attend to residents’ daily needs
    • Provide basic first aid to the residents and attend to their medical needs and health care in hostel (where applicable)
    • Assist to accompany residents to the polyclinic/clinic when required
    • Motivate and encourage residents to participate in programmes
    • Sign residents in and out of MWS GR and conduct bag and body checks daily, including the monitoring of the movement card
    • Supervision and support towards residents in these areas (not limited to these): 
                      
      1. Ensuring residents follow the hostel rules
      2. Ensuring communal duties are duly carried out by the residents
      3. Ensuring that residents are disciplined to keep their living areas neat and tidy
      4. Bringing the residents out and guiding them to purchase items (when needed), for the resident conducted activities and/or family bonding activities
      5. Liaise with external agencies, families, volunteers and vendors in a professional and timely
      6. manner
    • Assist the Head in ensuring that core duties given are carried out according to requirements
    • Maintain a high level of competency in awareness of SOPs and follow guidelines closely and professionally
    • Ensure a smooth process in the daily routine of the hostel during shifts
    • Keep proper documentation of records and ensure smooth handover of duties

  • Position: Assistant – Operations
    Location: MWS Bethany Nursing Home – Choa Chu Kang

    Key Responsibilities

    Ground Maintenance:
    • Ensure that the drainage around the garden and within the Home is cleared of all debris and stagnant water
    • Take care of the gardens inclusive of grass cutting, watering, weeding etc
    Equipment and Building Maintenance:
    • Conduct general repair and maintenance of wheelchair and equipment.
    • Conduct general maintenance of the premises
    • Maintenance of nursing equipment e.g. autoclave, oxygen concentrator, nebulizer & air compressor (gym)
    • Prepare and arrange rooms in the Home for different functions
    • Report to the Reporting Officer of any equipment malfunction or breakdown
    Inventory Management:
    • Assist the Supervisor - Facilities in assets movement and labeling of assets
    • Assist the Store Officer in inventory management e.g. receiving stocks, weekly distribution of supplies to wards
    • Update the Store Officer on stock level and replenishment where required

    Relief Duties:
    • Cover the security and customer service duties of the security officer or Assistant – Administration, in his / her absence
    • Cover driving and dispatch duties in absence of driver, if the incumbent has valid driving licence
    Others:
    • Participate as member of the Home’s Fire Safety Committee

    • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience
    • Possess valid class 3 driver’s licence is preferred but not mandatory

    A.Volunteer and Donor Management
    • Develop volunteer/donor opportunities
