MWS 35TH Anniversary

I Run for 12,000

Impacting Lives Challenge @ Mizuno Ekiden Singapore

4pm Ÿ 16 July 2016 (Sat) Ÿ The Promontory @ Marina Bay

To commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Methodist Welfare Services (MWS), MWS is organising the MWS Impacting Lives Challenge1 Run for 12,000 through the Mizuno Ekiden Singapore event on 16 July 2016 to raise funds for our 17 centres and outreach programmes that serve a total of 12,000 beneficiaries.

The MWS Impacting Lives Challenge is also organised specifically to raise funds for FamilyWorks Community Services (FWCS), a current service under the care of MWS, which reaches out to an overlooked group: children of single parent families. FWCS receives minimal government funding and relies mainly on donations.

How MWS Impacting Lives Challenge (ILC) works

The ILC aims to bring us together in one event to mark 35 years of MWS’ impact in Singapore and be galvanised into creating more ripples of change for the less fortunate.
Form relay teams of four to sign up for the Mizuno Ekiden Singapore. Team individuals will set up their personal fundraising campaigns on the MWS page on crowdfunding site, GIVEasia.com. The first 500 to raise $100 will receive an exclusive MWS ILC goodie bag*. Top three fundraisers will also receive additional mystery gifts. The ultimate reward is to impact lives of more than 12,000 by raising $100,000 through the combined crowdfunding efforts.
