A Haven For Growth & Transformation
What We Do
To successfully rehabilitate the juvenile delinquents under our roof, a variety of factors such as their temperaments and family backgrounds have to be factored in.
To do this, each resident under our care is attached to a staff who will journey with them through their stay and up to six months after they graduate.
Girls are counselled in understanding the implications of their actions and taking responsibility for them, through one-on-one and group counselling sessions.
The girls are also paired with female mentors who take them under their wings, to guide and nurture them as they work through their challenges.
Through these, the girls experience emotional and psychological healing, and gain effective conflict resolution and better decision making skills.
Providing a Compassionate and Motivational Environment
Many youths who fall into delinquency come from environments where they have poor, and sometimes even negative, support from their families and friends.
To help them break out of their lifestyle of delinquency, they need a safe environment where positive conduct is expected of them, a fair disciplinary system is in place, and consistent nurturing is provided despite their ups and downs.
Conducting Character-Building and Emotional Learning Programmes
On top of counselling, the girls need opportunities that they can use to build up positive characteristics.
We conduct activities, such as sports, climbing trips up Mt Ophir, and volunteering at nursing homes, tohelp them build resilience, which they need when faced with challenges.
Our girls are taught to reflect after these activities to personalise the experience and internalise the learning points.
Re-integrating Them Back to the Community Through Family Sessions and Workshops
We start preparing our girls for life after RSG the moment they enter our gates. We conduct family counselling sessions and bonding activities every month, and have a 6-month post care programme to watch over our ex-charges after they leave us.
